Short Bio


Hi! I’m Yalin. I’m a doctoral student at School of Information, The University of Texas at Austin. My research interests are in people’s online information behavior, especially consumer health information seeking behaviors and human factors in human-computer Interaction. I got my Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) in Beijing, China and my Master’s degree in Information Studies from UT. I was trained both in computer science and business administration during my college time, and in my master’s study, my focuses were mainly on information architecture and user-centered system design.
